Spectators Meet our All-Time #1 Fund-Raiser
A message to Parents from Race Director, Tony Schiller

Here's just 6 of the many things to help get you ready:

Forget everything you know about youth sports. Think of it this way… the MiracleKids Triathlon will likely be the biggest sports event you'll ever attend where most of the competitors hardly have a clue as to what they're doing. That right there ought to create a great picture of how to put this race into perspective.

Our purpose isn't to discover childhood triathlon prodigies nor are we here to honor the fastest of the 7 year-olds - no matter how fast they go. This triathlon isn't about naming individual champions. It's about giving kids a day to go way outside of their comfort zones to discover how much internal strength they really possess. So many confidence building life lessons come out of that.  Plus, every Kid gets the life lesson of learning what it feels like to Give Back.
Imagine watching a kid with world-class athletic ability and drive struggle throughout his childhood because he kept trying all the wrong sports. It happens to more kids than you know - and it happened to me. That's a big part of my motivation to present this incredible sport in a way that sends every kid home feeling great about their experience. Who knows, maybe your child will discover their own special gift?
If you came to our first-ever race in 2004, you know the power of our theme: Kids Racing for Kids Who Can't. Each kid wore the #1 and raced with the first name of a child with cancer on their leg. It was amazing to see how much inspiration the kids drew from that. We'll do it all again this year to set the tone for the kind of spirit-filled day Mitch would want in a race named in his honor.
Your job is simply to sit back and enjoy taking it all in. I encourage you to take special notice of how hard the kids compete when they have a cause. You'll see the human spirit in full force and you'll never forget it. So allow yourself to be swept away by the energy. You might never look at sports the same way again.
An incredible group of sponsors believe in our cause and have signed on to support the MiracleKids Triathlon. We also have a huge team of dedicated volunteers shaping this into a world-class event. So stick around after the race at the OrangeFest celebration and make sure to thank and support each of them for their generosity. It'll be a great time to let your child bask in the glory of their accomplishment.
I look forward to seeing you at the races.
