The MiracleKids Triathlon is one of the biggest kid’s triathlons in the world and has even been recognized by Governor Pawlenty as the official youth event of the Governor’s Fitness Challenge.
The Mission: To introduce kids to a fun way to get fit, be active and learn the value of giving back through racing in a world-class event.
First Priority: SAFETY. The race is sanctioned and insured by USA Triathlon. The swim course is shallow enough for kids to stand-up and with plenty of life guards on hand it's perfectly safe for kids of all swimming abilities. We'll have medical personnel, trained race volunteers, Law Enforcement, plus huge crowd everywhere watching so every kid has a fun and safe race.

Format: Boys race with boys their own age. Girls race with girls their own age. Starting order: oldest to youngest.

The Swim: Stays in shallow enough water so you can always touch bottom with plenty of lifeguards to make sure kids stay safe. 100 yards is the length of a football field - set a goal to swim the whole way! (Blue kids finish two lengths, Orange kids finish one.) |

Transition Zone: That's where you have your own spot to set up your bike gear. After the swim, you run to your spot in the transition zone, put on your helmet and then take off on your bike!
The Bike: The bike course is cool because all the roads are closed to traffic by the police so you have the whole roadway to yourself. (Blue kids ride two laps, Orange kids ride one.)
The Run: After finishing the ride,
you’ll return your bike to its spot in the transition zone and take
off on the run! There is a water stop along the run in case you get
thirsty. Pace it right, you can run the whole way. (Blue kids follow long course, Orange kids follow short course.)
The Finish: Huge crowds will cheer you home so finish with a sprint and smile for the cameras. You've raced for a kid who can't so when you get your finishers medal you'll feel like a hero.
OrangeFest: It’s time for your victory celebration! Wear your t-shirt and medal for pictures on the champion stage and stay for awesome music, games, dancing and food.
